Recovery Friendly Workplace

Joint Meeting – Northern ASSP and Northeast OAOHN 

Our Northern Chapter ASSP will join with the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Association of Occupational Health Nurses to hear a presentation from Shanna Dunbar on The Recovery Friendly Workplace. Shanna will share the benefits and strategy.

We are hearing more about the Recovery Friendly Workplace, but is it safe to do so?  Will employers be more at risk by offering a second chance?   By extending recovery-friendly practices to all employees, not just those in DOT-regulated roles, companies foster a culture of safety, support, and accountability. Providing second chances helps skilled workers return to the job with renewed purpose, while strengthening productivity, morale, and community well-being across every sector. Getting ahead of the statistics is important for employers to address.
