Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

A leading global manufacturer of complex components and materials is seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Manager to join its team. This is a high-impact role responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements while driving a strong safety culture across the facility.

The EHS Manager will lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives with a focus on reducing workplace injuries, improving compliance, and fostering continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead safety and health initiatives, including chairing the Safety Steering Committee.
  • Manage EH&S programs, training, audits, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and incident investigations.
  • Drive cultural change by implementing proactive EHS strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee environmental compliance, including air emissions, wastewater discharge, and hazardous waste management.
  • Prepare and submit environmental reports (Tier II, Form R, and other required filings).
  • Support accident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with facilities and maintenance teams on projects related to EH&S compliance and upgrades.
  • Develop and implement emergency response and contingency plans.
  • Track and report safety metrics and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Safety, Environmental, or related Engineering field (MS or MBA desirable).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment within EHS or a related capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance.
  • CSP and/or ASP certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with 6S and continuous improvement practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Hands-on approach to driving change and improving processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with industrial pretreatment processes for metals such as silver and nickel.
  • Project management experience related to safety, ergonomics, and environmental upgrades.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
