A leading global manufacturer of complex components and materials is seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Manager to join its team. This is a high-impact role responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements while driving a strong safety culture across the facility.
The EHS Manager will lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives with a focus on reducing workplace injuries, improving compliance, and fostering continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead safety and health initiatives, including chairing the Safety Steering Committee.
- Manage EH&S programs, training, audits, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and incident investigations.
- Drive cultural change by implementing proactive EHS strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee environmental compliance, including air emissions, wastewater discharge, and hazardous waste management.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports (Tier II, Form R, and other required filings).
- Support accident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with facilities and maintenance teams on projects related to EH&S compliance and upgrades.
- Develop and implement emergency response and contingency plans.
- Track and report safety metrics and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Safety, Environmental, or related Engineering field (MS or MBA desirable).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment within EHS or a related capacity.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance.
- CSP and/or ASP certification strongly preferred.
- Experience with 6S and continuous improvement practices.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Hands-on approach to driving change and improving processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with industrial pretreatment processes for metals such as silver and nickel.
- Project management experience related to safety, ergonomics, and environmental upgrades.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
