In April, 2017 we toured this site when it was barely under roof.  Now we get another opportunity to get ‘behind the scenes’ as construction is completed.

Bob will discuss construction site safety and the particular issues at this project.  Following the presentation we’ll get a tour of the nearly completed facility set to open in the summer of 2019.  Wear work clothes and bring your hard hat and safety glasses if you can.  Hard-soled shoes only – no open toes, high heels, tennis shoes, etc.

Parking instructions will be sent out a few days before the event.

The Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University formally broke ground on October 1, 2015 on their joint $515 million Health Education Campus, designed by world-famous architect Lord Norman Foster of England.

The project, one of the biggest and costliest of the 21st century announced in Cleveland so far, is intended to burnish the city’s image as a center of medicine and medical education. It has the potential to spur development and draw new residents and activity to the Greater University Circle area that surrounds the city’s medical, educational and cultural hub four miles east of downtown.

The glassy, light-filled, four-story building designed by the firm of Foster + Partners will house the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine, School of Dental Medicine and Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing.
