Line-Side Arc Flash Isolation
January 30, 2025
5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Why Does Line-Side Arc Flash Isolation Matter?
Learn how arc flash isolation on the line side can make a difference when designing electrical systems.
Since the dawn of domesticated electricity, arc flashes have been a serious, yet preventable, safety risk. Although the risk remains, safety standards surrounding arc flash (e.g. OSHA, NFPA 70E) and arc flash prevention technologies have evolved dramatically.
In this session, we’ll explore one such advance in these technologies: Arc flash isolation on the line side.
Presented by Kyle Kocarek, Schneider Electric – Kyle leads the US Low Voltage Offer Management Team in Schneider Electric’s Power Systems business unit. Her team is responsible for Schneider’s switchboard, switchgear, panelboard, low voltage motor control centers, and Integrated equipment offers for the US. Prior to joining Schneider, Kyle was a Design Engineer and Product Manager at GE Lighting for ten years. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Engineering Management.
